Pussy (cat) health, video production

Updated: Nov 18, 2019

This series of videos involved sourcing and booking an animal wrangler with the right variety of pussy cats. I was lucky to find an animal trainer and coordinator who only employs rescued animals and donates a portion of proceeds to local rescues! Our staff videographer and I came up with this idea as a bit of a joke, and managed to sell it to our senior leaders—who tend to take our video content much more seriously. We thought this would be a good play with our younger audiences. Indeed, it was well received on Tumblr, where a large portion of our younger supporters follow our content. Producing this shoot involved orchestrating several stakeholders, contributors, budgets, timelines, and tasks to deliver the final product. One of our staff educators wrote the scripts. Our editorial and press teams reviewed transcripts to ensure style and mission alignment. Our video lead handled the voiceover talent, camera work, and editing. I managed bookings, invoices, props, assistant cat wrangling (given my personal expertise as a cat foster and owner!), reviews, music licensing, and trafficking of files through the lifecycle of video creation.
